The Joker

She always wondered how much the Joker cost, and why everyone always discarded him, as if he were just a placeholder for missing cards. Acting like a fool in disguise for the King, always all or nothing.  A wild card her heart could relate to, but when they showed up to the game, they were living on opposite sides of the coin. He came for money. She came for love. They both travel through wars their fathers started. She saw his heart was taken and locked away, so she folded hers on the play.
